Three reasons to attend PyCon Austria
Apply as a speaker
The Call for Papers is open until March 15, 2025.
Interesting presentations and workshops are the heart of this conference. If you want to give a talk or organize a workshop, click the button below to submit your details through the platform PaperCall.io.
Please note that the decision process will take some time. We will stay in touch with you via PaperCall.io, and we’ll let you know whether your proposal has been accepted.
If you’re a first-time speaker or have little experience as a conference speaker, we especially encourage you to apply.
What you should know:
- We are primarily looking for talks and workshops in English or German.
- All topics related to Python are welcome.
- Please state the required skill level of your target audience.
- You may submit several proposals.
- By submitting, you accept our Code of Conduct.
Get involved and volunteer
We’re looking for dedicated volunteers to help make our conference a success. As a volunteer, you can play a vital role in:
- greeting attendees and answer questions to create a welcoming atmosphere.
- assisting our speakers with technical setups and presentations.
- helping to create memorable experiences for our attendees.

There are other ways to support PyCon Austria: Share our poster (download below), announce the conference on your blog or social media, or just tell your social circles about PyCon Austria.
For social media, we suggest using the hashtag #pycon_austria2025.
Present your Python project
Do you have a cool (free / libre / open source) project that you would like to present at PyCon Austria? Is it part of the wider Python ecosystem or at least very interesting for Python users?
We offer tables at the ground floor of the venue for projects like these, separate from the sponsor tables. To apply, please describe your project via email.
Voices from the Python community
We spoke to members of the Python community about their experiences with similar conferences and their expectations of PyCon Austria.
